Obtaining your Card
You can get your ID card on the first floor of the Mitchell Building 8:30 to 4:30 Monday-Friday. (301) 314-8240. Be sure when you receive your card it says "Graduate Student" so you can receive discounts at participating restaurants and stores. The first card is free, but it's $20 to replace a lost, stolen or purposefully defaced cards (e.g., hole punch).
Adding Money to your Card
Terrapin Express is a pre-paid debit account that uses your student ID. You can use the money at various food vendors and vending machines on campus. You can activate your account at: 1109 South Campus Dining Hall, Mezzanine Level or McKeldin Library. $20 minimum deposit by credit card, cash or check. You can also check the amount remaining on your Terrapin Express card on-line. Check out the local restaurant meal plan, known as the University Meal Deal.

For those of you interested in obtaining a Print Account, you'll need an ID card with Terrapin Express Money before you can set up the account through OIT. For more information go to "Activate Print Account" under "New Grads"
