Off Campus Advertising/Sponsoring

Sponsor a movie on Friday at 3pm:

For one movie, it would cost $700.

* If you would like to sponsor one movie per month, we will take 15% off the price. The total per semester would be $2380; $595 per film.

We Provide:

  • Distribution table outside of the theater
  • Advertisement running on theater screen all week
  • Name appears as a sponsor on our regular calendar
  • Name appears as a sponsor on our online calendar
  • Easel outside theater displaying sponsors name
  • All students, faculty and staff get in for free
  • Movie picked by theater

You Provide:

  • You advertisement, via e-mail (hoffgm@union.umd.edu), to be shown on screen (preferably a PowerPoint slide).

Movie Attendance:

  • Average for the 3:00pm movie sponsorship was 336 people.
  • Last semester our average weekly attendance was 1496 people.

Advertising on Screen only:

  • $200 per week for one advertisement.
  • Advertisement runs before all films (15 per week); no regularly scheduled movies on Monday or Tuesday
  • Advertisement is to be submitted via email one week before scheduled to appear.
  • Advertisement runs in a rotation of 10 to 15 slides, showing at 20 second intervals

Advantages:

  • Even though we do not have as wide a circulation as something like a newspaper, our patrons will be sitting in the theater waiting for a movie to start and have nothing to do but read the ads on screen.
  • The advertisement will run as one of 15 slides in 20 second intervals. Each slide will show about 3 times before each movie.
  • There are 15 guaranteed showings per week, so the ad will show on screen about 45 times.
  • We can work with you to find a movie that might have a related theme to your department/advertisement.
